The Training Simulation System for a Kind of Complex Equipment

In this paper, a training simulation system based on virtual reality is used for trainer operating complex equipment. The whole system is a distribution management system including many subsystems with the same architecture. Each sub-equipment has the corresponding simulation subsystem. The subsystem includes five modules: training module, communication module, interaction module, scene creating module and proficiency assess module. The core module is the training module. In the training subsystem, equipment and its primary parts are integrated to simulate the operation of the equipment. The communication module exchanges the data among the whole system by User Datagram Protocol. The interaction module is the man-machine interfaces .The scene creating module shows what we see in the engine. The proficiency assess module analyzes all the input interaction and evaluate their validity. The flow of the system is given. The results of simulation show the system is much suitable for complex equipment operation training.
