Measurement Uncertainty Analysis Based on the Thermal Performance Test Facility for Solar Water Heater

The measurement uncertainty analysis of daily useful heat gain and average heat loss coefficient of the tank have been performed based on the test data from the solar water heater thermal performance test facility. The results show that the precision of pyranometer has dominated the measurement uncertainty of daily useful heat gain, and the temperature sensor measurement uncertainty has significant effect on the average heat loss coefficient of the tank. The work done in this paper gives the direction to improve the measure precision of solar water heater test facility.
