VARIOUS NEW PREPARATIONS USED IN THE SYMPTOMATIC TREATMENT OF HEADACHE

Headache is one of the common symptoms of acute paranasal sinusitis. The headache is usually referable to the area overlying the sinus or sinuses involved in the infection. Thus, if the frontal sinus is involved the pain is usually referable to the region of the forehead; if the maxillary sinus is involved, the pain is in the area of the cheek; sphenoid sinus involvement produces pain deeply situated in the head behind the eyes, or in the occipital area of the head. The ethmoids, when involved, cause pain around the eyes and in the area of the bridge of the nose.
