Fast Equalizer Kernel Initialization for Coherent PDM-QPSK Burst-mode Receivers Based on Stokes Estimator (フォトニックネットワーク)

A novel algorithm for polarization estimation in Stokes space is proposed. We show that under high OSNR, four estimation points are enough to reliably initialize the CMA equalizer.
