An audio coding apparatus (100, 200) comprising: an encoder (122) for encoding a time segment of an audio signal input to code for a signal segment corresponding coded; a decoder (132) for decoding the encoded signal segment for a segment of redecodificado signal; and clipping detector (142) for analyzing the signal segment re-decoded with respect to at least one of a real signal clipping or cutting perceptible signal and to generate an alert corresponding trim; wherein the encoder is further configured to encode again the time segment of the audio signal with at least one modified encoding parameter resulting in a probability of clipping reduced in response to the alert cutout, at least one parameter of modified encoding causes the encoder modifies a rounding process in a quantifier to select a smaller quantization threshold for frequency coefficient.
