System for providing dmb contents binding service based on tv-anytime metadata using user's usage history and preferred item and method for excuting the system

A system for providing a DMB contents binding service based on TV-anytime metadata by using a user viewing history and a user preference item and a method thereof are provided to reduce channel zapping time for which contents a user wants are searched or the searched contents are switched into a channel which is being currently broadcast. A user input unit(201) receives preference item information from a user. A metadata receiving unit(202) receives metadata including at least one of DMB contents summary information, segment information, broadcast schedule information, and location identification information. A binding metadata generating unit(203) generates contents binding metadata by matching the received metadata with the input preference item information. A contents recording unit(204) selects DMB contents received from a DMB broadcast server according to the generated contents binding metadata and records the binding contents.
