A Novel Semi-Distributed Transmission Paradigm for NR V2X

With the increased demand for data rate and reliability of advanced V2X services, LTE-V2X can not meet the requirements. NR V2X has been investigated recently by the 3GPP to explore the high-quality communication technology for future vehicle-to-everything networks. However, the existing transmission scheme can not reach the 3GPP specified reliability requirement (99.99%) due to high collision and interference during the distributed resource selection, so that the way to realize high reliability under high mobility and flexible topology is a challenge for NR V2X. This paper studies on the transmission scheme for NR V2X to achieve the service key performance indicator. A novel semi-distributed transmission paradigm is proposed to overcome the mobility and unfixed topology, including distributed clustering scheme, autonomous inter-cluster resource selection scheme and centralized intra-cluster communication scheme based on sidelinks. A system-level simulation platform is built, and the results show the proposed paradigm outperforms than the conventional distributed autonomous mode.
