Time-Domain Propagation Characteristics Analysis of Indoor Satellite Navigation Signal

Satellite navigation has become the important means of navigation nowadays. However we can’t receive navigation signal in the building well because of the extremely weak navigation signal near the earth surface, wall block of building, indoor multi-path effect and reflection of navigation signal. So the indoor navigation technique has become research focus in recent years. In this paper, we first presented a new method to analysis indoor propagation characteristics of satellite navigation signal based on parallel finite-difference time-domain (FDTD), and a novel time-domain excitation source of navigation signal was provided to simulate incidence wave under different elevation angle and position of navigation satellite. This method can present the indoor electromagnetic field value and distribution of navigation signal at anywhere and any time, and showed the real physical fields of wave propagation and eclipse clearly, instead of measurement which cost too much. The simulation results showed the validity of the presented method in this paper.
