Numerical simulation technology of stamping of variable-thickness rolled blank(VRB)

The variable thickness parts have shown their advantage for auto lightweight purposes.According to the difficulties in describing the non-uniform characteristic of VRB,apartition discrete method for simulation of the VRB stamping process is proposed in this paper,the influence of the discrete precision of material performance and sheet thickness is discussed,and the setmethod of the discrete precision is proposed according to different research purposes.Finally,the cylinder deep drawing test with VRB is used to verify the accuracy of the partition discrete method.The result shows the proposed method could effectively predict the stamping process of VRB.
