Direitos e deveres de pessoas com HIV/AIDS no âmbito da saúde: um enfoque bioético

The main focuses of bioethics are the respect and the valorization of human-being. In this sense, the objectives of this study were to investigate the discuss of people with HIV/AIDS concerning to their rights and duties and to analyze theses discusses within bioethical criteria. It is an exploratory work with a qualitative approach. The investigation field was the Assistance to the HIV/AIDS carrier from the university hospital, Lauro Wanderlay of the Federal University of Paraiba. Twenty patients with HIV/AIDS participated of this study. The data was collected during the months of August to September 2006. The responses were qualitatively analyzed by the Collective Subject Speech technique (DSC). The study revealed that most of the rights of the person with HIV/AIDS, according to the DSC of the interviewed people, in the health are not respected, even though they are insured by the Brazilian constitution. Remaining anonymous continues to be a great resource used by the HIV positive carries to insure their rights as a citizen. The study made a reflection possible on the Bioethics area, in special, in the caring for HIV/AIDS patients. Key words: HIV; Bioethics; Health.
