ERP: Managing Multiple Processes in a State of Flux

This article discusses ERP as a tool for decision making and as a continual source of change. It is argued that the two elements cannot be isolated, since ERP-software packages undergo rapid development. Two case studies illustrate the relative success of improving managerial decision making within strategic control and logistics. Managerial challenges for the long term of ERP systems are enhanced focus on IT-skills and multidisciplinary cooperation and change management.
