Space-time trellis-coded ternary PSK for mobile communications

Space-time coding (STC) employing ternary phase shift keying (TPSK) for highly reliable wireless communications is explored. STC-TPSK is one of the effective schemes for achieving coding gains without losing attractive features of TPSK, such as superior error rate performance and good spurious characteristics. This study verifies that STC-TPSK outperforms both STC-BPSK and STC-QPSK over Rayleigh fading channels.
