Middle sized balaenopterid whale specimens in the Philippines and Indonesia

In 2002, 2004 and 2006, thirty eight skull specimens preserved in Silliman University, Dumaguete, the Philippines and Sea World, Jakarta, Indonesia were investigated. Among the speci- mens we examined twenty four Balaenoptera omurai and five Indopacific Bryde's whales were iden- tified. Nine were too fragmental for the species identification based on morphological characters.
