Multiobjective optimization of table olive preparation systems

A nonconvex multiobjective optimization problem for basic process design of a typical table olive preparation factory, with plastic olive storage tanks under the ground, is defined. The optimal design problem is to determine basic design conditions in such a way that the following two objective functions: total investment and annual product cost per ton prepared olive, are minimized. The optimal objectives are finally expressed as functions of maximum permitted factory total capacity and its optimal percentage used for preparation of green olive. Also the Pareto optimal space is determined with respect to these two decision variables.
