Experimental Characterization of Linear Switched Reluctance Motor for Physical Distribution Conveyance System

This paper presents electrical and mechanical characteristics of a linear switched reluctance motor by experiments. In order to clarify these characteristics, a long stator type experimental machine is designed and built. Also, an electric power measurement system for the experimental machine is built. We can obtain the static thrust and velocity response characteristics in the real machine. Moreover, current, voltage, input power, loss, and power factor characteristics can be clarified by experiments.
