To the Editor: Krauss et al.1 reported visual disturbances in adult patients treated with vigabatrin for epilepsy. Visual field constriction, in particular, was concluded to be associated with retinal cone system dysfunction. However, such symptoms have not been described in children undergoing vigabatrin therapy. The mechanisms underlying this phenomenon are unknown.
