Comparing design of fiber-reinforced composite and steel high-pressure tank of ship

Based on network theory, the design of the configuration and thickness of a fiber\|reinforced composite high\|pressure tank of ship is presented in this paper, and the results are compared with that of a steel tank designed by the third strength theory. The numerous results indicate that the weight of a steel tank is about eleven or twenty times of those of composite ones.
