Efficiency of adaptive and mixed-line-rate IP over DWDM networks regarding CAPEX and power consumption

Optimization of IP over DWDM USA-core network is studied under constraints of energy consumption and CAPEX. Population related IP traffic mapped to the optical DWDM layer together with leased lines are analyzed for MLR and reach/bandwidth adaptive networks.
