Vibration analysis of high-speed railway subgrade-ground system

The flexibility matrix of the ballasted track-subgrade-ground system at the wheel rail contact points was derived;an analytical model for vertical vibration of the vehicle-ballasted track-subgrade-layered ground coupling system was established by considering track irregularities.Vibration of the embankment-ground system caused by a TGV high speed locomotive was analyzed in the numerical example.Vertical displacements of embankment surface were produced.Influences of train speed,track irregularities,stiffness of subgrade bed and ground on embankment vibration were investigated.The results show that vertical displacements of embankment are mostly produced by moving axle loads;embankment vibration exhibits apparent oscillation with the increasing of train speed.Stiffnesses of subgrade and ground have a significant effect on embankment vibration.So the embankment vibration due to high-speed train can be reduced by increasing the stiffnesses of subgrade bed and ground.
