A practical approach of monopulse DOA estimation for multiple unresolved targets

The DOAs of multiple targets are not easy to be estimated which are located in one unresolved cell of conventional monopulse radar. This paper develops a practical approach to estimate the DOA of interest target which is located in one radar discerning cell with other indifferent targets. In this method, single target's SNR, which is used as a priori information in the moment method, is estimated via the data point merely sampled from the part of radar returns coming from single target. The simulation result shows the efficiency of this method. (4 pages)
