Hybrid reconfiguration for upgrading datacenter interconnection topology

This paper proposes the introduction of 2×2 magneto-optical switches as a reconfigurable physical layer with no link loss to provide higher throughput, and simultaneously, reduce CPU packet forwarding load in server-centric datacenters.
