R&D of uniform fault information platform

Based on the analysis of relay protection and fault information system and information flows, and considering the problems during the building of relay protection and fault information system, and using the international standard of IEC61970 and advanced idea of UIB (Utility Integration Bus), an idea to construct one uniform fault information platform was presented and specific scheme was also given, which can realize some new functions, such as share of information, optimizing of data flows, maintenance of parameters at one site and advancing of application functions etc.. This uniform information platform was built through the standardized connection of fault information system and SCADA and application system provided by the third party, which has the advantage of share of static parameters and real-time information and graphics and model, and can avoid some defects such as needing more maintenances and being short of data support for advanced functions, which exist in relay protection and fault information systems. This platform system is an important experiment of the connection among different second automatic systems. And also RD of this system can provide valuable experiences for later construction of relay protection and fault information and optimum and conformity of the second automatic systems.
