A Lightweight Cooperative Spectrum Sensing Method for Wireless Sensor Network

Thus an alternate method based on Cognitive Radio is explored to capturing spectrum for WSN.With the consideration of limit on hardware and resource of WSN,a lightweight spectrum sensing method by quantizing the sampled signals is proposed,to reduce the overhead of computation and communication.The performance of proposed method is analyzed theoretically.The simulation results show that the proposed method exhibits comparable performance with the non-quantization one,which establishes a foundation of capturing spectrum for WSN.
