The Fuzzy Computer

At present, the definition of a fuzzy computer, including its functions and operation to be performed, is not clear. Many researchers in various fields offer different opinions about the functions of a fuzzy computer. For some the fuzzy computer is a computer which can converse with human beings using natural language, while for others it is a computer which can recognize various patterns from an image having much noise, or a computer which can understand the meaning of an animated image. In a broader sense, the fuzzy computer can be defined as a computer which can understand the human being’s common sense. This chapter shows an interpretation of the fuzzy computer summarizing the above concepts [1].
