MMSE-based adaptive multiuser detection of DS-CDMA signals

Among multiple access techniques, code division multiple access (CDMA) has the exclusive advantage of allowing all active users to share the same channel concurrently. When the CDMA technique is used, multiuser detection is needed to reject or reduce the multiple access interference (MAI) affecting each active user. Adaptive techniques for detection of direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) signals are investigated to improve the performance of the CDMA system by reducing interference among users. In this paper, we employ two major types of adaptive technique called least mean squares (LMS) and recursive least squares (RLS), and compare their complexities
