A flexible scheme of reflective ONU Based on RSOA-Assisted Michelson Interferometer

A new scheme of Colorless ONU with RSOA-Assisted Michelson Interferometer is proposed, for Rayleigh Backscattering suppression in single fiber WDM-PON systems. Simulations and discussions have been conducted to validate the proposal. The results are useful for designing cost-effective Multi-Wavelength PON or Point-to-Point Radio over Fiber system.
