Simulation analysis on SMA damper passive control of a frame structure

The performance of shape memory Alloy(SMA) damper and its constitutive relation are presented,and its thermodynamic equation is set up.Then,the SMA damper passive control of a frame structure is simulated by ANSYS according to its relative parameter selection.Finally,through comparing the top floor displacement of the frame structure without and with SMA damper,it is shown that the SMA damper can enhance the seismic performance of the frame structure,and the method for next research work is put forward.
