Data fusion for the estimation of bony structure movements

Human motion analysis based on skin markers aims at estimating bony structure movement. However, it suffers from a main drawback that is soft tissue artefact (STA; Leardini et al. 2005). The purpose of our study is to fusion morphological data from medical imagery and kinematic data obtained from an optoelectronic motion tracking device, in order to further investigate joint coherence through the use of a custom-designed index.
