WPT versus WT for a Robust Watermarking Technique

Summary This paper investigates the role of Wavelet Packet transform (WPT) versus the Wavelet Transform (WT) in providing a watermarking technique with higher performance in resisting common signal processing attacks. The same embedding strategy is used for both cases of WPT-based watermarking and WTbased watermarking. Experimental results show the superiority of the WPT-based watermarking in resisting the investigated attacks especially for the case of histogram equalization attack.
