Abstract 1.A case of coryza and asthma due to emanations from sand flies has been presented after one year of study, observation, and treatment. 2.A buffered saline extract of the flies produced positive skin and ophthalmic tests. A positive passive transfer phenomenon was demonstrated with the patient's blood serum. 3.Hypodermic injections of the extract produced a state of hyposensitiveness, shown by diminished skin reaction, absence of eye reaction, and freedom of usual symptoms during the past summer.
