Inhibition of glioblastoma cell invasion by hsa-miR-145-5p and hsa-miR-31-5p co-overexpression in human mesenchymal stem cells.

In BriefThe authors demonstrated that hsa-miR-145-5p and -31-5p overexpression in human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) inhibited the invasion of glioma cells via contact-dependent transfer. It is already known that some miRNAs suppress the invasiveness of malignant gliomas. The authors' results suggest that hMSCs may be applied as a delivery vehicle for miRNAs.
