Physiological and Biochemical Rationale of Yogasana

Yogic exercises have been known to increase mental and physical control of the body. Earlier practices ofyogasan and pranayam have revealed physical and mental well being. Yoga has great therapeutic potentialin management of related diseases stress. It improves the psyche of the individual because training causingdecrease in psychic stimuli to vasomotor and respiratory centre hence there is less increase in sympatheticactivity and less decrease in parasympathetic activity with an optimal blood flow distribution. Greateramount of fat is utilized for providing energy sparing glycogen.
