Countermeasures of short-circuit level control of urban electric network

This paper analyzes the impactions of short-circuit level on urban system and the causes of short-circuit level increasing. According to the research on short-circuit level control technologies for power system, this paper presents five main apparatus countermeasures and two main topological countermeasures for short-circuit level reduction. Some detailed models are derived and incorporated into the PSD program to test the effectiveness of those countermeasures. Our studies show that those countermeasures can be applied to the operation and planning of urban network. (6 pages)
