The issues of exact constant-speed control system for spherical rotor with electrostatic suspension are discussed. It is based on the wheeling magnetic field and the PLL control. The basic operation principle of control system is described. The phase-locked loop, the PD controller, the model of wheeling system and its linearization are analyzed. The transfer function and its characteristics are worked out. Finally, the experiment result is introduced.
