Preparation of the Public Bus Schedule Based on FCFS

A good timetable balances both the benefit of the public bus company and passengers. Generally, bus scheduling includes four sequential parts: transit network design and optimization, timetable prepared, bus scheduling and personnel scheduling. This paper focuses on study of public bus schedule preparation based on queue’s theory by means of first-come-first-service (FCFS) approach. With regard to the flexibility of the number of buses and bus maintain activity. At last, the comparison of loading factor was given to support the empirical study.
