Reading up books: Probability and statistics: Current texts and readings provide the key to statistical, stochastic, and probabilistic models

One of an electrical engineer's major responsibilities is converting a problem into mathematical form and then into a piece of hardware that will solve, or at least help cope with that problem. Often the model will be deterministic, for example E = IR. However, in some cases, uncertainty precludes using a deterministic model to describe the problem. In these cases, electrical engineers often use probabilistic, statistical, or stochastic models.
