Study and design considerations of a voltage-source single-stage PFC converter

A voltage-source single-stage, single-switch power factor correction converter is presented in this paper. This rectifier can be used for universal input line and low output power (<100 W) applications. The authors study the dependence of power factor correction and the bus voltage on the converter parameters. The study is supported by experimental results. Design considerations are provided based on this analysis.
