A linearized transmitter based on digital baseband predistortion for BTS

In this paper, the digital baseband predistortion is presented to linearize transmitter performance in BTS, in which the digital IF architecture is implemented. The simulation of CDMA2000 IX modulated signal based on ADS was performed to investigate the effect of digital predistortion. Finally, the measurement results show the excellent performance of this transmitter, such as the RMS EVM is 3.59%, PK EVM is 8.50%, and the ACP improvement is 12dB for CDMA2000 signal or 10dB for WCDMA signal. Therefore, it might be a promising candidate for future wireless communication systems.
