Schwere katatone Schizophrenie einer 17-jährigen Jugendlichen

Fragestellung: Katatone Symptome im Kindes- und Jugendalter sind wenig erforscht. Evaluierte Therapieempfehlungen gibt es kaum. Krankheitsverlauf und Behandlung einer schweren katatonen Schizophrenie sind Gegenstand der Kasuistik. Methodik: Kasuistisch wird eine 17-jahrige Jugendliche mit einer schweren, lebensbedrohlichen katatonen Schizophrenie vorgestellt. Ergebnis: die Behandlung mit Clozapin erbrachte nach bis dahin erfolgloser Vorbehandlung eine entscheidende Verbesserung der Symptomatik Schlussfolgerungen: Weitere Untersuchungen und Fallberichte uber die Behandlung und den Verlauf des seltenen Krankheitsbildes der schweren katatonen Schizophrenie im Kindes- und Jugendalters waren wunschenswert.
