The evolution of silicone chemistry: I. Lipophylic silicones

Summary In this article, a generai overview of the evolution of lipophylic sili cones chemistry is presented. We also report on the advances that have been made in the work carried out to achieve experimental ap pli cations of the cosmetic industry. These compounds have an important play role in the develop ment of dermocosmetologic technology, because th ey knowledge is a key factor influencing the te chnological and economie development of pharmaceutical formulations.
