A brief summary of sound intensity measurements and their application to noise control

Abstract The two-microphone method of sound intensity measurement is reviewed. Principles of the technique, the measurement errors, instrumentation and the applications of sound intensity are described. The applications covered are the determination of the sound power, the noise source location, the transmission loss and the sound absorption coefficient.
