Method and corresponding device for realizing gateway access

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a corresponding device for realizing gateway access. The invention adopts the technical scheme that the method comprises the following steps of: according to handshaking duration of negotiating with a media gateway controller (MGC) when a media gateway (MG) is registered, sending notification message to the MGC, and actively initiating a re-registration operation when notification response sent by the MGC is not received in timeout; and meanwhile, when the notification message sent by the MG is not received in timeout in the MGC, or when the notification message is received in non-timeout and the same equipment identification (EID) and different IP addresses in the notification message received twice sequentially are adjusted, setting the MG with fault. Therefore, the MGC can perceive the change of the IP address of the same MG, set the MG with fault and wait for the re-registration of the MG so that the MGC acquires the IP address of the MG in the re-registration of the MG and communication error between the MGC and the MG is avoided.
