Non-contact In-site Measurement Technology of the Piston Skirt Profile

Based on the laser intervening theory, the displacement measurement laser was used to measure the convex curve and the varying ovality curve of a car piston. An aggressive analysis method was used to process the cross section curve data. A five points twopower center based moving average method was used to process the convex curve. The proposed noncontace insite measurement is important for the online error compensation of piston skirt.
