PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative sheet eliminating defects possessed by wood and metal decorative sheets and putting beneficial points possessed by both of them to practical use. SOLUTION: The decorative sheet is constituted by laminating a metal sheet 2 to the single surface or both surfaces of a woody board 1. This decorative sheet is excellent in water resistance and chemical resistance as compared with a decorative sheet made of wood as a whole and the surface thereof can be formed into a perfectly flat mirror surface. This decorative sheet can be also made non-combustible and fire retardant and has a beneficial point hard to generate a crack at the time of bending processing and, as compared with a decorative sheet made of a metal as a whole, it has lightweight properties, good heat insulating properties and high soundproof and sound-insulating properties. Even if the decorative sheet is struck by the hand, it emits no metal sound and has a sound feel like wood and no cheapish feeling. COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
