Smart Navigation Guidance System for Visually Challenged People

Vision is one of the fundamental human senses and does the most significant job. People with visual disability often experience physical barriers that restrict their accessibility and mobility. Defect in the vision makes people to depend on other for indoor and outdoor movements. Lot of companies try to develop electric equipment and gadgets for visually challenged people in order to overcome their mobility problem without any sort of dependence. To overcome this challenge, a navigation system is proposed for visually impaired people to guide them in a smart manner. The proposed system performs simultaneous object observation and detection actions. The surrounding environment can be captured and given as a voice command. The heart beat sensor measures the heart rate of the people. If any obstacles are detected or heart rate is higher, then the message will be send to the guardians of the people along with their location. The proposed system effectively performs live tracking of visually impaired people and allows the visually impaired people to move anywhere without any assistance. The proposed system is tested on visually impaired people in real time at different locations to prove the system effectiveness.
