An historical approach to the teaching of science

The public's misunderstanding of, and occasionally positive antipathy towards, science and scientists is a bitter reflection on the methods by which we have previously attempted to teach science. There is every reason to consider the possibility that some nontraditional approach to this problem may prove superior to the methods that have been our reliance in the past.
