Precision guidance and control for formation flying spacecraft

The authors provide an overview of the challenges that must be overcome to fully realize the increased science returns that formations engender. The challenges are separated into six categories that span hardware, software and theory. The contribution of this paper is that it clearly delineates each category, listing detailed problems that must be solved.
