Oncor Electric Delivery Smart Grid initiative

As stated earlier, the goals of the Smart Grid initiative are to provide remote meter reading capability, enhance the view that operators have into the electric system, and provide systems which function without operator intervention. The components discussed in this paper in addition to a fast, reliable, secure communications network will help Oncor Electric Delivery meet those goals.
