Ecological Modelling and Management of Spruce Budworm Infested Fir-Spruce Forests of New Brunswick, Canada1

Abstract Four of 13 existing models have been applied to forest protection/management strategy evaluation in New Brunswick, Canada. Each successful model was built in association with the user. It may be possible to apply models built independently of a user but it will require a search for an appropriate niche.
