A multi-criteria decision analysis methodology for selection of a preferred residence based on physical attributes

Abstract This paper presents a multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methodology which uses normalized weights and dimensionless scoring scales to determine preferred locations in which to live based on physical attributes. The methodology utilizes a questionnaire to determine the subjective weights and values related to the physical attributes and provides the individuals with a geographical pattern within the country which indicates baseline areas from which other non-physical factors can be considered.
